What we have done to KEEP YOU SAFE:
First off
infection control is nothing new to us. We are built for this. This is what we do and what we have ALWAYS done for 25 years. We are not a bowling alley or supermarket we are highly
trained healthcare providers and understand and have always understood disease transmission, prevention, and control.
- You can rest
assured we have a HEALTHY and SAFE TEAM
- Dr. Sarah
and Dr. Scott have each taken over 22 additional hours on infection control education
- All team
members have been trained in specific COVID-19 infection control measures and understands the transmissions, symptoms, preventative measures, and proper disinfection
techniques
- We follow
strict guidelines by the ADA (American Dental Association). CDC (Center for Disease Control) and the OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration)
- We only use
disinfectants that have been approved by the EPA and are effective in killing COVID-19
- All team
members are required to have their temperature taken and logged twice daily
- No one is
permitted to work if they have a cough or any COVID-19 symptoms
- We have ALL
the proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) to keep us and you safe. We might look a little different with our gowns, face shields, and respirators on, but we will still deliver the
excellent and friendly service that you have learned to expect from us.
- You can rest assured we have a HEALTHY and SAFE OFFICE
- We have
limited the amount of patients allowed to be in the office at one time and when possible are enforcing the 6 foot rule
- We have
installed a plexiglass barrier on our front desk and clearly marked 6 foot lines
- All rooms
are equipped with Medical Grade H13 HEPA air filtration systems using carbon filters and ionization which completely recirculate the room air in 15 minutes to remove any aerosols and 99.97% of
particulates.
- After every
procedure all rooms a "fogged" with electrolized water (HOCl) to disinfect the air. Any aerosolized virus is killed in 5 seconds after fogging.
- We are
taking more time in between patients for room disinfection procedures and are letting rooms sit vacant while our air filtration system cleans any remaining aerosols.
- We are using
an isolite system on all patient to reduce aerosols by 90%
- We are using
pre-rinses to further decrease infection (hydrogen peroxide and iodine )
- Anything
that goes in your mouth or near you is either brand new or sterilized/disinfected for your protection.
- We are
currently not using any aerosolizing equipment in our hygiene rooms (no cavitron or piezo) or nitrous oxide
- We have put
away all books, magazines, coffee station, blankets, and headphones for easier cleansing
- Pre-Screening of All Patients
- All patients
will be called prior to their scheduled appointment for a health screening and asked a few questions about how they are feeling.
- All patients
will have their temperature and oxygen levels taken and review their current health status upon arrival in the office
- All patients
will be required to use hand sanitizer before entering our treatment rooms
- All patients
will be required to sign a COVID-19 consent form
Being environmentally conscious isn't just good for our planet, it's also good for our patients. We've made investments in technology to make your trip to the dentist healthy for you and
environmentally sustainable.
Our office is equipped with the latest in digital x-ray technology. This limits your exposure to 90% less radiation than film x-rays. They are faster, safer, and give a
crisper image. It also eliminates the need for toxic chemicals in the processing of older x-rays to keep our air safe and clean. We also keep our landfills free from the plastics and
lead found in older technology.
Our surgical grade instrument sterilizer utilizes steam based technology to kill bacteria and viruses with heat and pressure, once again eliminating the need for toxic
chemicals and limits water usage. We comply with the Oregon Board of Dentistrys and spore test weekly, ensuring sterile instruments for all our patients. All reusable instruments
including dental handpieces are sterilized before every use.
Our high-tec water filtration system allows for the disposal of old mercury-based fillings in a safe and environmentally friendly way to prevent contamination of our local water
systems.
Our charting system is nearly paper-free. All patients' records are stored electronically in a safe and secure environment, thereby eliminating the need for increased use of
paper products to keep our forests thriving.
Our office makes every effort to decrease our carbon footprint from energy saving appliances to recycling. Rest assured that if it is recyclable, it will be
recycled. All metal, cans, glass, newsprint, magazines, plastics, paper and cardboard are recycled.
Our state of the art facility at Levison Dental follows all recommendations by the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), the Center for Disease Control (CDC), the Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA), and the American Dental Association (ADA).
